The Georgia & Alabama Railroad was a shortline operating on former Central of Georgia tracks between Smithville, Ga. and White Oak, Ala. (79 miles) from 1989 to 1995. It was a division of the South Carolina Central Railroad, which was a subsidiary of RailTex, Inc..
In 1995 RailTex consolidated the operations of the Georgia and Alabama into another of its subsidiaries, the Georgia Southwestern Railroad.
