The Columbus and Greenville Railway (reporting mark CAGY) 
was founded in 1974 and began operations in 1975 
over divested Illinois Central Gulf Railroad trackage across the state of Mississippi.
 Its terminals are Columbus and Greenville, Mississippi.


The Columbus & Greenville Railway (CAGY) is a 162-mile short line freight railroad that interchanges with the Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway, BNSF, Canadian National, CSX Transportation and Norfolk Southern.



Commodities transported include brick, food products, metals and scrap.



In June 2008, CAGY  was purchased by Genesee & Wyoming Inc.
